Papa Bear’s surprise birthday celebration

For Papa Bear’s ___th birthday celebration, I decided to make the celebration a little more special.  His birthday just happened to fall on a Saturday, and he’ll be coming home from clinic quite late.  Perfect for planning a surprise party.

It was only a small celebration.  I told my in-laws to come over for dinner and reminded them that it’s supposed to be a surprise.  There are only 13 of us in the actual party, not counting the yayas and the helpers.

I ordered food from Conti’s, Jollibee and Mr. Sun Moon (my memory is not so fresh anymore since this is a late posting :P,  I’ll post more details when I remember them.)

The surprise didn’t turn out the way I hoped for.  Papa Bear came home a bit earlier than I expected.  And my brother-in-law’s Innova was parked in front, which was pretty obvious to him.  But he did say that he was surprised, nonetheless, coz he was not expecting a celebration.

Happy birthday, Papa Bear!

Baby Bears Got Sick :(

It was a rough week for the Bear family.  First, Boy Bear got cough, cold, then moderate grade fever.  Then, when it seemed that he was getting better, Girl Bear suddenly had convulsions. It turned out that she had fever at the time of the seizure.  Papa Bear and Mama Bear had to bring her to the emergency room.

The fever climbed p to 39.9 degrees with no obvious focus of infection. CBC and urinalysis were not suggestive of bacterial infection.  Since Boy Bear got rashes the day after Girl Bear got admitted, we began to suspect roseola infantum.

After more than 3 days of fever, the rashes finally appeared and the temperature went down.  What a relief to know that it’s nothing serious!

The Bears Meet Big Blue

The Big Blue Whale, that is.  The largest animal on Earth. The largest that ever existed.

This is a replica of a 2 month old baby…(Click picture for a bigger view)

Papa Bear noticed that there was this display of the world’s biggest baby at Market Market in Taguig City. He decided to bring Mama Bear and the Kid Bears to see this display.

They used to be a numerous breed, but they are now an endangered species, mainly because of hunting by men.

Bears Meet World

Once upon a time, Papa Bear met Mama Bear. They fell in love, got married and they now have 2 Baby Bears. Goldilocks may come and break their furniture and eat their porridge, but the Bear Family will stick together no matter what.

They decided to go online.  Family Ursidae, or the Bear Family, is their place on the web.
